The first thing that impresses you on entering Chef’s Table is that the layout is spacious, bright and with a premium view of your surroundings. The floor-to-ceiling windows are deliberately kept so clear so that you can enjoy the stunning surroundings of Tanjung Rhu. The second thing you notice, is that at the Chef’s Table, all staff are ready to serve and always busy. Many hands work hard to deliver professionalism and excellence and you can see the chef’s preparing your food, the kitchen staff working in unison for perfection and the result is stunning.

Even the starter bread was fresh and fluffy

From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were somewhere else because despite the sounds and sights of water and nature outside, there was man-made elegance and sophistication inside, merging the best of both for a unique experience. We began with a bread basket for our appetizer, featuring an assortment of freshly baked bread that paired perfectly with the light olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided. It was the ideal way to start the meal and whetted our appetites for what was to come.

A sumptuous start to the evening

The highlight of our meal was the prawn spaghetti, which was truly divine. The pasta was perfectly cooked—soft and chewy, yet retaining the ideal texture. The prawns, sourced fresh from the nearby Andaman Sea, were succulent and flavourful, showcasing the incredible seafood that Langkawi is famous for. Many of the resorts, including Tanjung Rhu, catch their own fish, and you can truly taste the difference in the freshness. This was easily some of the best seafood we’ve ever had, prepared with care and attention to every detail.

Next came the lamb chops, which were equally outstanding. They were tender, juicy, and bursting with juicy flavour. The meat was cooked to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that left us savouring every bite. It’s clear that Chef’s Table takes pride in sourcing and preparing the finest ingredients, and the lamb chops were a testament to that.

For dessert, we indulged in volcanic temptation, a chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side. It was pure indulgence. We also had ice cream and tiramisu. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, providing a refreshing end to the meal, while the tiramisu was a classic delight—light, airy, and just the right amount of sweetness to round out the evening.

Chef’s Table is pricier than the other restaurants on site, but the food arrived very quickly, staff were extremely attentive and the experience is a world apart from the other dining options at the resort.

Chef’s Table is a must-visit for anyone staying at Tanjung Rhu or in Langkawi. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to treat yourself, the combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients and masterful preparation makes this Italian dining experience truly exceptional.
