Dayang Cafe at Berjaya Langkawi Resort

The Dayang Café at the Berjaya Langkawi Resort in Langkawi offers a unique dining experience that beautifully combines scenic surroundings, warm ambience, and a diverse selection of food.

Dayang Cafe is pleasantly laid out with natural light and space between tables

Situated within the lush rainforest of Langkawi and just steps away from the beach, the café presents an inviting atmosphere that’s both tranquil and refreshing. The natural wooden architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding greenery, creating a calm, tropical vibe that feels far removed from the bustle of everyday life.

The setting is perfect for a laid-back, relaxed meal. Whether you’re dining indoors or at the alfresco section, the ambience is consistently peaceful. The open layout allows for a refreshing breeze, and the soft, ambient lighting in the evening enhances the overall calm. It’s ideal for families, couples, or solo travellers looking to unwind in a casual yet elegant atmosphere. The friendly and attentive staff further elevate the experience, making you feel well taken care of throughout your visit.

Luscious refreshing drinks served with a smile

The buffet and à la carte offerings at Dayang Café cater to a wide range of tastes. From traditional Malaysian dishes to international fare, there is something for everyone. The breakfast buffet is particularly popular, featuring a generous spread of local delicacies like nasi lemak and roti canai, alongside Western options such as omelettes, pastries, and fresh fruit.

The dinner buffet is equally impressive, offering a variety of grilled seafood, meats, and more local favourites. The dishes are flavourful and well-prepared, although some diners might find the food selection to be more geared toward tourists, with familiar, milder flavours rather than bold, spicy options.

The chicken club sandwich was filled to the brim and a hearty bite

The dishes we ordered at lunchtime were the spaghetti with prawns for lunch, the egg-loaded chicken burger, a chicken club sandwich with fries, a chicken quesadilla with fries, rice with chicken jalfrezi and palak paneer (spinach and cheese) with naan. All the dishes were well-presented, appetizing, of good portions and very tasty.

Two teenagers in our group ordered milkshakes and loved them. The service was speedy and our food arrived within 15 minutes, allowing us to tuck in and enjoy our meal as we gazed at the beauty around us.

The views from the cafe are green and serene

One of the standout features of Dayang Café is the breathtaking view it offers. From the outdoor seating area, guests can enjoy stunning vistas of the Andaman Sea, framed by lush tropical greenery. During breakfast or lunch, the sight of the sparkling blue ocean is mesmerizing, while evening diners are treated to an incredible sunset over the water. The café’s proximity to the rainforest also means you may spot wildlife, adding an extra touch of nature to the dining experience.

One of our favourite dishes was the spaghetti with prawns

In summary, Dayang Café is a great spot for those seeking a relaxing dining experience in a beautiful natural setting. The ambiance is serene, the food is varied and satisfying, and the view is simply spectacular, making it an ideal destination for both casual and special meals during your stay in Langkawi.

As Berjaya Langkawi Resort’s main restaurant and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Dayang Café is an extension of the hotel itself, complementing its Malaysian-inspired cuisine with excellent service, and a view to die for.
